Megan Rottcher

Megan Rottcher is Public Affairs Manager for Asia Pacific at Mars, Incorporated based in Singapore.  In this capacity, she is responsible for designing and supporting issue management and stakeholder engagement strategies in the region.  Megan also serves as the Mars representative to the International Food & Beverage Association (IFBA) and to the Food Industry Asia (FIA) Public Affairs Committee.

Prior to her role in Asia, Megan served as Mars, Incorporated’s Global Issues Manager based at the company’s headquarters in McLean, Virginia, USA.  Her primary responsibilities in this role included the identification and prioritization of challenges and opportunities concerning Mars’ global reputation and license to operate, regular reporting to management and the company’s board, and the fueling of business dialogue to avoid surprises and crises while deriving competitive advantage through strategic handling of emerging issues.

Before beginning her issue management roles at Mars in July 2008, Megan was placed on a series of external assignments within partner institutions to lead the off-take and implementation of several public-private partnerships between Mars, industry, international organizations and government agencies.  Assignments included postings at the World Bank (2004-2006), the US Agency for International Development (2006-2007), and the US National Institutes of Health (2008).

Prior to joining Mars, Megan graduated with a BA in Economics with honors from Harvard University and worked at the World Bank as Special Assistant to the Executive Director for Francophone Sub-Saharan Africa.
